Specifying time periods
By default, Billingbooth will use Peak as the time period which suppliers use at all times.
You may want to modify this and define time periods yourself, allowing you to specify when Peak, Offpeak, Weekend Peak and Weekend Offpeak occurs.
This is where the Time Periods screen comes into play.
Adding a time period
To get started setting up time periods, click the Voice, Data & SMS menu item in the left-hand navigation, then under the General sub-menu click Time Periods.
This will take you to the Time Periods screen, where you're able to select from a list of suppliers that support CDR parsing which then shows you a list of any configured time periods for that supplier.
INFO
If your supplier doesn't appear in the list, you may need to create a file converter for them.
Once you're on the Time Periods screen, click the Add Time Period button at the top-right of the Configured Periods block.
A new time period block will appear, select which type of charge you want to associate with this time period by selecting Peak, Offpeak, Weekend Peak or Weekend Offpeak from the drop-down list at the top left of the block.
Using the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday checkboxes, check the days you wish to associate with the time period.
Next, drag the blue vertical line on the time bar to the desired end point of your time period. Then you're able to drag the starting time of the time period to your desired starting point.
After this, if needed click the Add Time Period button once again to add another time period. Try to ensure you've covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in some way.
Once you are happy with the values you have entered, click the Save changes button at the bottom of the form to complete the process and create the time periods.
